Since I did not know much about Madagascar I was a bit worried as to what would happen once I got there but the team from Helinirina made the whole journey very safe and interesting. It’s a bit of a rough ride and some areas can get cold at night if you go there in the winter as I have. There were two nights where I had to sleep with all my clothes on. My husband also takes immunosuppresant medicine and was worried about the hygiene but the guide took us to all the safe restaurants and hotels so there were no problems at all. The guide Nirina and the driver Mahaeva were very pleasant and helpful. And also entertained us throughout the drive, always coming out with jokes and sharing the history of Madagascar. I was only there for a week but I got to see and experience so much. I would definitely recommend the tour they provide!
